Learning world - About Us

The Learning World in the Future Work Lab

The Learning World as a competence development and consulting center is the third pillar of the Future Work Lab. The focus is on the three key areas of "learning", "shaping learning" and "thinking about learning.

Learning

The Future Work Lab offers seminars and workshops on the topic of "Working and Learning Tomorrow". Here, employees from all sectors learn about current and future developments in the world of work and discuss the latest procedures and design approaches. Topics include the effects of digitization, new competence and qualification requirements, innovative learning concepts, and the design and assessment of work environments in a way that promotes learning and is employee-centric. The experts at the Learning World also offer consulting services for company-specific issues.

Further information can be found here.

Designing learning

In the Learning World, innovative teaching and learning methods are designed and tested. For example, we design new learning formats through the conception of so-called "learning streams". This format combines the advantages of hands-on teaching of content at demonstrators with the benefits of digital knowledge transfer (e.g. a learning platform). In this way, the learners are supported by active practice and test phases at various demonstrators to directly apply learned knowledge in practice. The concept is adapted to the learners and their current challenges in everyday work. You can find more information here.

The Learning World has set itself the goal of designing not only the learning content, but also the learning locations of the future. The smallest seminar room of the future - linc is an innovative learning environment in which learning content is presented on the one hand and new learning formats can be tried out on the other. You can find more information here.

Thinking ahead to learning

In the learning world we focus on different research questions around the topic of learning:

  • How is the world of work changing as a result of new technologies?
  • What does this change mean for the organization of work and learning?
  • Which competencies are needed for the new challenges?
  • How can learning be designed to make people fit for the working world of the future?

The goal is to investigate these questions, develop learning concepts and share the results with you. We are constantly looking for exchange with researchers and company representatives from different areas.

Visit us in the Future Work Lab and enter into an exchange with us.

Have we made you curious? Do you want to find out what the working world of the future will look like, what competencies are necessary for this and how you can develop them individually and practically?

Then get an idea at the next Open Lab Day or contact us without obligation. We will be happy to advise you on which (learning) format is exactly right for your topics!
